POINT OF ORIGIN Yabukita Sencha

Expressing a prefect balance of umami and astringency, accompanied by a refreshing forest like aroma, the tea cultivar Yabukita very well captures the essence of Japanese Tea. It is also a mystery, showing great variations depending on growing conditions and processing. In search of the original taste of Yabukita, I traveled across Japan, eventually ending up in its birthplace, Nihondaira in Shizuoka prefecture. There I discovered a tea that articulates originality like few others.
